Goodwood Festival of Speed 2027
15–18 Jul 2027 · Goodwood House
A summer garden party devoted to the history and future of motorsport.
Why it belongs on the circuit
Goodwood Festival of Speed feels deliberately different from a permanent circuit: motorsport history is brought into the grounds of Goodwood House, and the hillclimb creates a changing procession of racing machinery through the landscape. It is both a live performance and a vast outdoor exhibition.
How to approach the visit
The 2027 edition is announced for 15–18 July. A day can be shaped around the hillclimb, displays or conversations with the motoring world, but trying to see every activity is unrealistic. Consult the official programme once available, choose your primary interests and account for walking distances.
The estate’s rural setting makes arrival and departure logistics particularly important. Check whether train-and-shuttle services are offered in the event year, and verify car parking arrangements well before setting off. Clothing for unpredictable British summer weather remains a practical advantage.
Three things to consider
Confirm entry and session rules directly with the event organiser.
Choose accommodation for walkability and transport, not only for its address.
Leave unprogrammed time to experience the city beyond the headline event.
