Monaco Grand Prix 2027
4–6 Jun 2027 · Circuit de Monaco
The iconic street circuit welcomes a Sprint weekend for the first time in 2027.
Why it belongs on the circuit
Monaco is Formula 1’s theatre of proximity. The circuit passes the harbour and the city streets, meaning the landscape and the race are inseparable. In 2027, Monaco adds a Sprint format for the first time, changing the competitive shape of the weekend and making accurate session planning particularly important.
How to approach the visit
Formula 1 lists the championship weekend as 4–6 June 2027. The Automobile Club de Monaco describes a broader local programme beginning 3 June. Those dates are not contradictory: check which sessions, support races or grandstand days your intended ticket covers. Roads and pedestrian movement are highly controlled around the race.
If staying in Monaco itself is not practical, examine rail access along the Riviera rather than relying on road transfers. Visit Monaco-Ville, the gardens and a quieter stretch of the coast outside peak race movements. Even in its most spectacular week, Monaco repays a slower, more human-scale itinerary.
Three things to consider
Confirm entry and session rules directly with the event organiser.
Choose accommodation for walkability and transport, not only for its address.
Leave unprogrammed time to experience the city beyond the headline event.
New for 2027: Monaco becomes a Formula 1 Sprint weekend. F1 sessions run 4–6 June; the Automobile Club de Monaco lists wider activities from 3 June. Event dates checked against the source linked above on 9 October 2026.
